With expanded yet limited state resources and evolving federal funding expectations, local governments must be ready to lead coordinated recovery efforts, mobilize local partnerships, and manage available resources effectively.

Outcomes

Six workshops will be held throughout the state. Through an overview of federal and state disaster recovery programs and practical recovery tools, participants will be able to:

  • Produce defensible damage assessments to leverage state infrastructure and individual assistance programs.

  • Document Public Assistance activities and costs correctly to safeguard eligible funding.

  • Make compliant substantial damage and floodplain determinations under NFIP requirements.

  • Use Crisis Track (PDA, IA, Substantial Damage modules) to manage and track recovery actions.

  • Coordinate and lead MARCs, COADs, and private sector engagement to strengthen local recovery operations.
