Outreach and Education

The outreach and education committee was created to implement effective floodplain management, adn assist state and local professionals in the field with staying current with legislation and new policies. This committte is lead by Mr. Dan Fitzpatrick, NFIP Coordinator and Ms. Heather Sloniger.

The Outreach adn Education Committee has the lead role on activities to distribute information, indetifying general training needs adn address specific or focused floodplan management issues. Our main activity for 2009 and early 2010 was developing and maintaining a web site. Our goals for the remainder of 2010 are: creating a newsletter and hosting regional workshops within the Commonwealth.
